Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations at our Houston (Rankin Road) facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience operating turning and milling machines, with the ability to set up and run equipment independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate turning and milling machines to manufacture precision components.
- Work with Mazak Mazatrol and Hurco WinMax controls (experience preferred).
- Operate manual machines (lathe, mill, etc.) as required.
- Perform machine setup including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program verification with minimal supervision.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints, including Dimensional tolerances and GD&T symbols and callouts.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet quality, accuracy, and specification requirements.
- Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
- Proven experience operating turning and milling machines.
- Strong knowledge of machine setup and machining processes.
- Ability to operate manual machines when required.
- Excellent understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship.
